Soleil Caouette is a painter and mixed-media artist receiving her BFA from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. As an artist, she has been constantly inspired by her and her ancestors' past. She pulls influence from her past trauma, life experiences, and the rich culture she grew up around. Her art uses abstract symbolism to convey the connection she has with her family and the emotional ties she feels to them.
